A stunning and highly sought-after highboy chest of drawers from the iconic "Perspecta" line by renowned American manufacturer Kent Coffey. Crafted in the 1960s, this piece embodies the timeless elegance of Mid Century Modern design and perfectly blends Scandinavian minimalism with American craftsmanship. The dresser features beautiful walnut and pecan construction and distinctive, sculpted concave arches on the top two drawer fronts, which are accented with contrasting rosewood. The lower three drawers have the original brass-toned pulls and smooth-gliding, dovetailed construction. The second drawer down from the top is large with a center divider.
This piece was refinished without the dark stain, giving it a beautiful light warm walnut glow which lets the grain show through. It is in very good vintage condition. Two small items of note: the very bottom of each leg has some areas with a darker hue and on the top right drawer front arch there has been a minor repair. Please see all photos.
