This tiny Rope Chair from the 1950’s, is a Salesman Sample.
It’s not a kids chair. It’s a tiny version of a full size chair that was brought to department stores & boutiques, by a Salesman.
Its small enough to rest on the countertop, as shown.
It has hinges on the seat & large bolts to the arm rests, so it could be broken down & easily reassembled to show clients. The salesman could have driven or even ridden the train, with this neatly tucked into his suitcase. He may have even had - variety of mini pieces. For any chair collector, this is a fabulous conversation piece to put on display.
