Design & Aesthetic

• The Cartouchière GM is a vintage-style messenger / shoulder bag from Louis Vuitton, with a structured, square-rectangular silhouette. 

• It features a front flap with a leather buckle strap as its closure — very characteristic and gives it a satchel feel. 

• Made in Monogram coated canvas (the classic LV monogram print) combined with vachetta (natural) leather trim. 

• Hardware is gold-tone, which complements the monogram canvas and the light leather. 

• Comes with an adjustable flat shoulder strap made of the same vachetta leather, letting you wear it on the shoulder or cross-body. 

Material & Construction

• Exterior: Durable coated canvas (so it's relatively resistant to scratches and structure holds up well).

• Leather trim: Natural vachetta leather, which patinas (darkens) with age and use. Many vintage examples show this patina. 

• Interior: According to listing details, there is a main compartment and also typically one slip pocket / interior compartment. 

• Lining: Some vintage versions show a crossgrain leather lining. 

• Multiple sources give very similar dimensions for the GM: ~ 26 cm (W) × 21 cm (H) × 7–8 cm (D)

• Strap drop / shoulder strap length: ~ 29 cm to 52 cm (adjustable) according to vintage
